When Do Puppies Lose Their Canine Teeth

This part of the puppy teething process is actually the second teething stage.

When do puppies lose their canine teeth. Puppies lose their baby teeth faster than it took them to come in. A lot of people tell me the teeth will be. During this time puppies will need to chew on appropriate items to relieve the discomfort associated with teething. The incisors appear first followed shortly by the canine then the premolars and finally the molars.

The latter as said earlier is usually between 12 to 16 weeks though it may happen later or earlier for some pups. Most puppies will get their permanent teeth as soon as the baby teeth begin falling out. The process usually starts with the incisors. The baby teeth begin falling out approximately one month after coming through.

Your puppy s baby teeth will start to fall out at around four months of age. At this stage your pup loses his baby teeth and replaces them with permanent grown up ones. Provide plenty of chew toys during the teething process keep an eye on their mouth and let your vet know if anything seems off. By the time your dog is about 6 months old he or she should have all 48 adult teeth.

At only 3 months of age a puppy loses his first set. By the time your puppy is about six months old or so all of his puppy teeth should have fallen out and his adult teeth should have grown in. I have a four month old golden retriever who it seems was born with a mouth full of razor sharp puppy teeth. Loss of baby teeth begins after the puppy is three months old.

It starts when puppies are around 2 weeks old and their first baby teeth start to come in and usually ends at around 8 months of age when all the adult teeth are fully erupted.
